Schedule Things Out

Although it can feel overwhelming to schedule out your calendar, your tasks, and your daily life, the pay-off is SO worth it. Since I launched my business full-time March 1, 2021 I make it a point to dedicate 1 hour a week to scheduling out the important things.

I call it my Power Hour.

Here's 3 tips to help you maximize your scheduling power hour:

01.
Use Your Preferred Method

Use your preferred method of choice - paper or digital. Personally, I use Google Calendar, but I know people who use a day planner and just keep it with them at all times. Do what feels right for YOU.

02.
Start with the Constants

Write what you know.

Start off by adding the things that NEVER change. I mean regularly scheduled meetings, classes, family breaks, soccer games, etc. And, yeah, that goes for EATING, too!

03.
Add Specific Work Blocks

BE SPECIFIC! Don’t just schedule from 9 - 5 that you are “Working.”

Be specific, dedicate a defined timeframe to a particular item, such as: Block 1: Social Media Marketing - Creation, Scheduling; Block 2: CEO Time; Block 3: Networking Time, etc. When you are intentional, your brain will be less likely to dilly-dally during that time.
